JIM DAVENPORT: PRESIDENT/ OWNER

A native of New Jersey, Jim graduated from Manville high school. He then went to college and got his degree in criminal justice and environmental science from Raritan Valley College. After college Jim attended the Middlesex County Police Academy. He began his career for the New Jersey Transit Police Department in 1983. He then transferred over to the Montgomery Township Police Department in Belle Mead, New Jersey in 1985. He then retired from the Montgomery Township Police Department in January of 2002. As a police officer he received 3 meritorious service awards, 2 life-saving awards, one exceptional duty award, honorable service award, seven letters of recommendation for arrests and convictions, Elks police officer of the year, Rotary international club honored guest, and was the New Jersey State PBA delegate.

Jim then purchased Long Lake Marina in May of 1999. He then became the President and CEO of LLM in January of 2002. Accomplishments at LLM include: distinguished dealer for Avalon and Tahoe Pontoon Boats, national sales award for Avalon and Tahoe Pontoon Boats from 2002 consecutively to present, presidential award from Polaris industries and top dealer for Polaris industries in 2002. He has also won the White Diamond award winner for Yamaha watercraft beginning in 2006 and running consecutively to present.

He is a member of Lakes Environmental Association and past board member. Jim’s hobbies include hiking, fishing, and boating, and he is antique car enthusiast. His 1970 Ford Mustang and 1966 Ford Bronco can be seen driving around in the summer months. He also enjoys football, ice hockey, snowmobiling, water sports, and beer stein collecting. Jim is extremely proud of his employees and customers at Long Lake Marina. He is always striving to sell quality products and conduct business honestly through integrity and loyalty while providing family fun on the water.

James Davenport: Director of Sales and Marketing

After starting out working in all facets of the business, James graduated from the University of Southern Maine in 2009 with a B.A. in Business Administration and Economics. At that time he was groomed for the sales and marketing director position at the marina. As the sales and marketing director, he is well versed in all of our product offerings. James handles sales and marketing aspects for the marina.

Thanks to James the marina has won the Super High Output CSI award for Yamaha boats and watercraft, the highest ranking available. He also has the highest CSI score in the world for Tige Ski Boats. James’s hobbies include wake surfing, boating and spending time with friends and family, and his crazy German shorthaired pointer, Hunter.

Jon Norris: Sales Consultant- Naples

Jon grew up in and around the lakes region of Maine. He started his career at the marina during the summer of 2013 in the service department. Jon has since moved into a sales position and is now the best medium tall salesman east of the Mississippi. He is a fan of Vin Diesel, tan Tacomas, and riding his dirt bike through the woods at night. Next time you see him ask him about his upcoming base jumping trip.

Steve Malespini: Shop Foreman

Steve started working for Long Lake Marina in high school, where he worked on the gas docks and helped with rental pick-ups. After graduating high school he attended college to become a marine technician. He has been working as a technician for LLM for the past 10 years and was recently promoted to Shop Foreman.

Steve is certified to work on, Mercury and Yamaha Four Strokes Systems, Fuel Systems, Nautique Qualified, PCM inboard certified, Mercury Inboards and Outboards, Mercury stern drives, and he is also 5 Star Certified. Some of Steve’s hobbies outside of work include: wake surfing, wakeboarding, boating and spending time with his family.

Stephen Gordon: Retail Technician

Stephen started working in the marine business when he was in high school on gas docks at other marinas. After high school, Stephen went to MMI (Marine Mechanics Institution) in Orlando, Florida where he graduated in 2011 with his Marine Mechanics Certificate. Stephen is also 5 Star Certified and has 2 years certified with Mercury. He is diligently working towards Yamaha outboard certification. In his spare time he enjoys boating, camping, snowboarding and spending time with his family and friends.

Jarrod Langlois: Marketing and Creative Specialist

After several years of helping Long Lake Marina come up with innovate ways of marketing their products, Jarrod joined the team in January of 2015. His expertise lies in creative strategies and digital advertising, and his concepts can be seen in many ways here at the marina. Jarrod’s a native of Portland, and an avid songwriter.

Chris Wittington - Director of Customer Service

Chris is new to the Long Lake Marina crew. Starting his journey with us on staff outing day back in August. Chris works as a service writer and is the face of customer interaction for the service department. Chris is a graduate of USM and grew up in Michigan. He is very family oriented and likes spending time hiking with his three kids. Next time you see him about his first day on the job😏.

Al

Al is a native of Windham and came aboard in a sales role during 2019. Since then, Al now manages the Bridgton location and is our pontoon, dock and boat lift specialist. In a previous life Al worked as commercial fisherman in Portland🎣. He enjoys shredding the trails in his side by side, selling party barges, and the Jamaican Vibrations Amazon music channel. Next time you see him ask him about his dirtiest job.

Kyle Lorrain- Service Technician

Kyle grew up in Western Maine and has been with us since the summer of 2017. Starting as an Apprentice Technician Kyle has since moved into a Service Technician role. Kyle enjoys riding his 4-wheeler in the summer, snowmobile in the winter, and will eat anything his mom cooks. Follow Kyle's adventures @fullsend207 .

Emily: Delivery Coordinator

This is Emily. She is a native of Poland, Maine and has been with LLM since 2019. She currently acts as our Delivery Coordinator. She is a SNHU alum and enjoys hiking, skiing, and she adores her Volkswagen Jetta. Next time you see her, ask her about her Vans addiction.

Sean: Service Technician

Sean joined the crew in June 2020 and works as a service technician. Sean is a native of Oxford Hills and spends his time off with his dog Zula. He enjoys four wheeling through the wilderness and his favorite part of the Marina is the people and comradery. Next time you see him ask him about the fart can on his Subaru😂 .

Darby Coyne: Service Technician

The man with the pineapple shirt started with the marina during the summer of 2016. He is originally from Baltimore and is a Clarkson University Alumni. Darby works as the Operations Manager / Head of QRF. Darby puts Old Bay Seasoning on everything he eats and has had his beard for six years. Next time you see him ask him when he is going to shave next.
