Est. 1999

  • Marina purchased in May of 1999 by Jim Davenport and Thomas Cranstoun
  • Lines offered at the time: Marada powerboats, Playbuoy (now Avalon/Tahoe) pontoons, and Polaris snowmobiles and personal watercraft
  • Offered indoor and outdoor storage and 20 +/- wet slips

2000-2009

  • 2001 Long Lake Marina wins President’s Award for selling over 100 Polaris snowmobiles in a calendar year
  • 2002 Jim retires from Police force, becomes owner/operator
  • 2003 Long Lake Marina acquires Lakeside Dairy Bar from previous owner
  • 2004 Polaris exits the watercraft industry, Long Lake Marina forms strategic partnership with Yamaha for exclusive distribution of their boats and watercraft
  • 2005 Long Lake Marina wins Yamaha White Diamond awards for boats and watercraft, a streak still alive through 2014
  • 2005 Long Lake Marina wins largest Tahoe dealership in the state of Maine, a streak still alive through 2014
  • 2006 Long Lake Marina sets records sales years for all products carried
  • 2007 Construction of the state of the art 4 bay service center begins, additional 150 boat rack unit also completed
  • 2007 Jim Davenport purchases Thomas Cranstoun equity in the business, now the outright owner of all Long Lake Marina entities
  • 2008 Service department officially opens for business
  • 2009 James Davenport graduates from University of Southern Maine, comes to work for family business in Sales and Marketing

2010-Present

  • 2010 Long Lake Marina invests in rental fleet, bringing newer boats into rotation every year for better consumer experience
  • 2011 In addition to maintaining White Diamond Awards for Yamaha boats and PWC’s, Long Lake Marina wins Customer Satisfaction Awards for both boats and watercraft, a streak still alive today.
  • 2012 Long Lake Marina forms strategic partnership with Nautique boats
  • 2012 Long Lake Marina forms strategic partnership with Captain Dingley’s Board Shop, partnering to provide consumers with a unique and effective learn to board program
  • 2012 Long Lake Marina awarded highest customer satisfaction index in the world for Tige boats
  • 2013 Long Lake Marina joins a David Parker 20 group, meeting with top performing dealers all around North America to improve business operations. 
  • 2013 Record sales growth in Yamaha boats and watercraft
  • 2013 Long Lake Marina forms strategic partnership with Axis Wake Research
  • 2014 Long Lake Marina acquires New England Boat for additional storage and showroom space
  • 2014 Long Lake Marina forms Naples Supply Co, a general store providing lake amenities and gifts
  • 2014 Long Lake Marina awarded coveted Super High Output customer satisfaction index award from Yamaha boats and watercraft, we are one of 6 dealers in the country to accomplish this feat
  • 2014 Long Lake Marina ranked 21st out of 400 + dealers in the nation for Yamaha watercraft and boats
  • 2015 Long Lake Marina forms strategic partnership with Nautic Star deck boats and center console models, expanding into two new markets.
  • 2015 Long Lake Marina sets personal volume sales record with Yamaha boats and watercraft. 
  • 2016 Bridgton property has extensive improvements to property and showroom, allowing us to display new and used product indoors for all 12 months. 
  • 2016 Long Lake Marina wins White Diamond Dealer from Yamaha as well as extending streak of CSI awards.
  • 2016 Long Lake Marina forms strategic partnership with Crest Pontoons entering in the premium pontoon segment.
